Dear Colleague,
Despite the jolly appearances of paid actors and celebrities on film and TV, the holidays test everyone's will to relentlessly make merry. Apocryphal evidence suggests that divorce and suicide rates rise in December, and women with postpartum depression are likely to have an especially hard time getting through this month, with so much merriment seeming to be in contrast with how they are feeling. This year has seen a rise in the media coverage of PPD, so we are hopeful that many more women have received the message that they are not alone.
MedEdPPD thanks you all for another year of promoting awareness and supporting women with PPD, and we wish you a peaceful holiday season and bright new year!
